About Alinea


Alinea Clinical Research has one integrated site within the Kotsanis Institute in Grapevine, Texas and two additional satellite locations locations in Denton and Dallas, Texas. Our Grapevine site is conveniently located 10 minutes from DFW airport. Our Denton site is conveniently located 2 minutes off highway 35N. We perform phases I-IV clinical trials for multiple indications. Dr. Kotsanis oversees all trials as the Principal Investigator (study doctor) and has over 25 years of experience in clinical research. Dr. Kotsanis and Alinea Clinical Research staff work together with a shared passion to bring  new and improved therapies and investigational drugs and devices to market. Our passion is to make a difference each and every day and to leave a positive footprint in the world.

Our Lead Staff

Constantine Kotsanis, MD, PI


Dr. Kotsanis is a board-certified otolaryngologist (ENT). Originally from Greece, he settled in Chicago, Illinois with his family when he was 15, eager to experience the American Dream. He returned to Greece for medical school at the University of Athens. He then continued his specialty training in otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at Loyola University in Chicago, where he met and married his wife, Beverly. After finishing his medical residency in Chicago, Dr. Kotsanis and his wife moved to Texas in 1983 and opened his practice, now known as Kotsanis Institute in Grapevine, Texas. The practice specializes in a combination of traditional and complementary (integrative) medicine with a focus on healthy nutrition. Dr. Kotsanis has been conducting research for over 20 years and he continues to develop IRB approved protocols for cancer and other studies conducted in the practice. He is the PI at Alinea in Grapevine,Texas.

Vanessa Galvan, MA, CRC


Vanessa founded Alinea Clinical Research in early 2018 and is the Site Director of three Alinea locations. She also conducts studies as the Lead Coordinator. The main location is integrated within the Kotsanis Institute in Grapevine, Texas and two additional satellite locations are situated in Denton and Dallas, Texas. Her clinical research journey started in 2007 in Omaha, Nebraska where she conducted Phase 1-4 clinical studies. After moving to Dallas in 2009 with her husband and daughters, she accelerated her research career as a Senior Site Director for one of the largest Site Management Organizations in the country. Vanessa is passionate about cancer research and also enjoys the challenges of researching new indications. She works together with Dr. Constantine Kotsanis, Dr. Elizabeth Seymour and teams of medical professionals to implement new study protocols conducted at each Alinea location. 

Elizabeth Seymour, MD, PI, SUB-I


Dr. Seymour is originally from Denton, Texas. After graduating from Ryan High School, she attended Texas Woman's University where she received her undergraduate degree. She obtained her medical diploma from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman, British West Indies,  and completed her residency at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Seymour is board certified in Family Medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine and also holds a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration. She practices at Medical Associates of Denton, a comprehensive medical facility offering quality care for families. Dr. Seymour is also a staff physician  at the Environmental Health Center in Dallas, Texas. In her research roles, Dr. Seymour functions as both a PI and SUB-I. She is married to her husband Eric, also a Dentonite and they have two sons.
